The first half of the movie was a bit of a snooze fest, but the last half of the movie was oscar worthy. The twists and turns in the end were all satisfying with richly developed characters.
This was a very long movie, so be prepared ahead of time with some popcorn. Thankfully, the characters are so well developed that you will enjoy it!
Will it win the Oscar? Probably. It was a culmination of everything that Christopher Nolan has been working towards. It is a very Nolany movie, with the Nolany elements at their best in this movie. He very clearly took some lessons from his prior movies, such as the ticking of the clock in interstellar to the feet rhythm explosion noise during tense moments. Another great example is the use of actors from prior movies such as Matt Damon or the lead Cillian Murphy…
